  Very disappointed with my visit this week. I have a suspected stomach ulcer which the doctor agreed with. However, there was no suggestion for a test to confirm this. I was told there was no test - not true! I could have an urea breath test or a stool test for the bacteria (h.pyloria) which causes ulcers. The doctor wanted me to be tested for anaemia but I don't understand why except that anaemia is a side effect of the PPI she prescribed. The PPI relieves the symptoms but does not eradicate the bacteria. Antibiotics are needed for that so the ulcer would just remain and maybe form into cancer. Luckily, I have researched and am now treating myself holistically.
